BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower (main level)

  Position Details:

• 3 days per week (36 hours)!!!
• Overnight Shift: Monday / Tues/ Thurs - with the option to pick up Wednesday (7pm – 7:30am)
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently
• Occasional time in the Operating Room (OR)
• Portable exams and other tasks assigned by the department
• Work independently in the emergency room (ER)
• Siemens equipment in our ED and a combination of Samsung and Carestream portables
• Performing exams on in-house patients and the OR
• This position will also help provide coverage to our vascular room overnight (Siemens zeego)

• New grads, upcoming grads, Student Radiology Tech and experienced Radiologic Technologists
• Radiologic Technologist, x-ray technologist, x ray technologist, Upcoming Radiology Student graduate, Radiologic Technologist, x-ray technologist, x ray technologist

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• ARRT registered technologist.

You will be working with an organization on the leading edge of diagnostic radiology. In fact, our radiology department is regarded as one of the top five in the United States, and performs over 453,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually.

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
