Overview

We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join a growing accounting team supporting a portfolio of multifamily and/or student housing properties. This role is responsible for full-cycle property accounting, working closely with property managers, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of 8–10 properties
  • Prepare and review monthly property financial packages
  • Perform bank reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
  • Analyze variances and provide insight into property performance
  • Partner with property managers and operations teams on financial matters
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processes
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the property management system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–6+ years of property accounting experience (multifamily or student housing preferred)
  • Experience with Entrada property management software strongly preferred (or similar systems such as Yardi, MRI, or RealPage)
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Compensation & Details

  • Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000
  • Full-time, on-site role
